The ability to learn Reiki is not dependent on intellectual capacity, qualifications or experiences.  It is simply taught and passed on from a Reiki Master teacher to the student.  Reiki is not taught in the way other healing techniques are taught. It is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement process. This process opens the crown, heart, and palm chakras and creates a special link between the student and the Reiki source.  As soon as this happens, you can do Reiki. Because of this, it is easily learned by anyone. 

Reiki does not take years to learn, however there are 'national standards and principles about how you can proceed through from Reiki student to therapist - from Reiki 1st Degree though to Master Teacher.

Reiki 1st Degree (Reiki 1)

Your Reiki healing starting point. Learn Reiki for self-healing and supporting family and friends

Reiki 2nd Degree (Reiki 2 - Reiki Practitioner)

When you are confident in your Reiki healing abilities you  become a Practitioner and work with members of the public.

Reiki 3rd Degree (Reiki Master Practitioner)

When you are experienced in working with others and have mastered your Reiki healing you can progress to becoming a Reiki Master Practitioner.

Reiki 3rd Degree + (Reiki Master Teacher)

A note about Reiki Attunements

The Reiki attunement is a powerful spiritual experience. The attunement energies are channeled into the student through the Reiki Master. Many report having mystical experiences involving personal messages, healings, visions, and past life experiences. The attunement can also increase psychic sensitivity. Students often report experiences involving: opening of the third eye, increased intuitive awareness, and other psychic abilities after receiving a Reiki attunement. 

The Reiki attunement can start a cleansing process that affects the physical body as well as the mind and emotions. Toxins that have been stored in the body may be released along with feelings and thought patterns that are no longer useful. Therefore, becoming attuned to Reiki more often than not greatly impacts your life. Once you have received a Reiki attunement, you will have Reiki for the remainder of your life. It does not wear off and you can never lose it. ​

​I am regularly asked if I can provide online workshops or online attunements, unfortunately I do not, this is because I believe that a Reiki attunement is a sacred passing of energy from Master to student and is best experienced in-person. In addition many insurance companies and regulatory bodies insist that attainments take place in-person as this is detailed in the National Core Reiki standards.

I also receive requests from individuals who wish to have an attunement only, and not to partake in the full workshop, they maybe have undertaken self study, or received and online attunement  then realising that this leaved them unable to progress to being recognised as a Reiki Practitioner.  I do not provide stand alone reiki attunements, however you are welcome to join a workshop to receive an attunement and a refresher.

If you are wanting to undertake Reiki 2 training with me but have taken your Reiki 1 training with a different Reiki Master Teacher, this is not a problem, I will just need to see a copy of your Reiki 1 Certificate.
