Energy healing modalities such as Reiki bring comfort and balanceIn today's fast-paced world, where stress and anxiety have become unwelcome companions, the accumulation of dense energy within us can have a huge impact. We might notice that we feel heavy, or sluggish, or that we have lost our mojo. To others we may appear composed, however our vibes never lie, and the impact of energetic blocks on our mental and physical well-being can be profound. So, what can we do to restore balance and harmony to our lives?
Energy healing modalities, such as Reiki, emerge as beacons of comfort, support, and equilibrium. I like to think of energy healing as a revitalising shower of healing energy for your body, washing away stagnant energy that is stopping you from moving forward or from feeling your best. So how does reiki healing help us? Let's take a look at how things work.... Our bodies possess an energy field, commonly known as an aura, which emits and absorbs energy frequencies from the environment. I explain to my clients that as energetic beings were are in fact like magnets. Over time, we absorb energy of others, of places and situations. Similar to how dirt accumulates, energy builds up, and if its heavy energy it can lead to a sense of heaviness or exhaustion, even after a restful night's sleep. Identifying the presence of heavy or dense energy within yourself requires a mindful check-in. Feeling "off" without a clear reason could be an indication of absorbed energy that is affecting your aura, your energy centres (chakras), impacting on mood and physical wellbeing. Events or experiences that seem inconsequential on a logical level might leave lingering energy, making you feel uneasy. Reiki and other energy healing modalities become valuable tools in addressing and releasing such dense energy. During a Reiki session, as a Reiki practitioner I am in essence a conduit, channeling healing energy to clients, which removes dense energy, providing the recipient with a sense of clarity and lightness in their energy field. I believe that the recipient is an active participant in the healing process, so I always encourage them to focus on relaxation, in many instances using a progress relation technique, to create openness to receive the healing energy. Openness to receiving healing and trusting that the session will contribute to achieving mind-body balance grants both the seeker and the healer a shared permission to embark on a transformative journey. Energy healing, including Reiki, is not a replacement for professional medical treatment but can complement it effectively. For instance, cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy may seek relief from severe nausea, sleeplessness, and anxiety through Reiki healing. Combining energy healing with conventional medical approaches, such as anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medications, can offer a holistic approach to mental and emotional well-being. Reiki is just one facet of the vast array of healing modalities available. Crystal healing, essential oil therapy, sound, meditation, massage, tapping and colour therapy are among the complementary practices that work differently but can be used in conjunction with each other based on individual preferences and needs. As a wellbeing therapist I like to use a mix of these approaches to give my clients thehealing that will help them the most. As we navigate the complexities of modern life, embracing the profound potential of Reiki and other energy healing modalities can lead us towards a more balanced and harmonious existence. By acknowledging the interconnectedness of our energy body and the impact of dense, or uplifting, energy, we empower ourselves to actively participate in our own healing journey, unlocking the door to a rejuvenated and vibrant life.
