Reiki provides a complementary approach to healing animals

Complimentary therapy, and holistic therapy, are now widely used for the care of pets and animals.

This includes Reiki.

Reiki can help to reduce stress and anxiety in animals, and can also be used to address specific physical and behavioural issues.

Some common issues that reiki may be able to help with in animals include:

• Trauma and fear
• Separation anxiety
• Aging and end-of-life care
• Behaviour issues

​Reiki is performed on animals in much the same way as it is performed on humans. I typically place my hands on or near the animal's body, channelling energy into specific areas to promote healing and relaxation. It is important to remember that reiki is not a replacement for vet treatment and should not be used as such. It is meant to be used as a complementary therapy to help promote overall well-being and should be used in conjunction with traditional professional care from a vet.
